All-over Free Meander/Pantograph Designs
The simplest and most economical way to finish a quilt. Choose from dozens of pantograph designs, or an all-over freehand meander such as Puzzle, Hearts and Loops, or Stars and Loops.
Price per sq. inch: $.015 for simple meander or $.016 to $.02 for pantograph designs based on the density and detail of the design. For a separate, freehand border design on a meandered quilt, add $20, or, a more custom border, requiring marking or turning the quilt, add $30.
Custom Quilting-Level 1
Freehand custom designs based on piecing and/or appliqué patterns that do not involve marking quilt top. Examples include ¼" design outlining or a small amount of stitch-in-the-ditch work, custom block quilting using laser transfer, freehand feathers or border/sashing designs.
Price per sq. inch: $.03-.045
Custom Quilting-Level 2
More complex custom quilting to fit the quilt top design. Examples include any design requiring marking of quilt top, extensive stitch-in-the-ditch work, cross-hatching backgrounds, faux trapunto, micro-stippling, especially dense quilting.
Price per sq. inch: $.045 and up
Minimum charge of $35 for basting, $45 for edge to edge designs, and $75 for any custom work.
Prices effective 7/1/2010 and are subject to change without notice.
I offer 100% hand guided quilting using a stitch regulated Millennium model machine from American Professional Quilting Systems. This gives every quilt an individual look, with subtle variations and much artistic expression. If you are looking for a computer driven design, there are many local quilters who provide this service. I will be more than happy to refer you.

Quilt tops and backs may be shipped very reasonably by priority mail. The post office offers free shipping boxes, many with flat rate postage regardless of weight. I strongly recommend against shipping batting due to it's bulk and added cost. In most cases I can supply a moderate priced batting for less than the cost of shipping a batting to me.
Wrap fabrics in plastic before boxing.
For shipped quilts, quilting charges must be paid in full prior to returning finished quilts to customers. To help out those customers outside my local area, I provide return shipping of your finished quilt for a minimal cost within the continental US. Most quilts are shipped for $10-15. (Optional insurance, priority, or overnight shipping additional).
Please be aware that purchasing shipping insurance on quilts is of little or no value without an appraisal. If you wish insurance, you should consider having your quilt top appraised prior to shipping. It is also a good idea to keep your receipts for materials. In order to recover on a claim, proof of the quilt's value must be provided either in the form of a written appraisal by a licensed quilt appraiser, or by providing proof of the cost of materials. Without an appraisal, the maximum recovery value is limited to the cost of the materials of the quilt, not including labor, and then only if you have receipts to back up your claim.
